Amiel S-Strike cricket shoe for Adam Zampa.
July 2023.
An Amiel S-Strike adapted with a custom spiked outsole for Adam Zampa, Australian leg-spinner and long-time friend of Stepney Workers Club. The first SWC shoe worn in professional sport.
Adam is a right-arm leg-spinner and one of the defining figures in Australia’s white-ball side. He has built his career around control, variation and making a ball behave in ways the person standing opposite him would rather it didn’t. He is also a long-time friend of Stepney Workers Club and an individual in a sport that has not always been overly generous to them.
The pair was worn for The Oval Invincibles during the 2023 edition of The Hundred. Less a formal step into performance footwear, more something made for a friend who simply wanted a pair.
A friend needed cricket shoes. We made him some.
