Introducing... Kenny Schachter
Kenny Schachter is an erudite figure in the art world, based in New York. Seamlessly blending roles as an artist, collector, lecturer, curator, writer and art critic, his work provocatively explores global, political, and art centric themes, often challenging conventional norms.
We were fortunate enough to be invited into Kenny's New York abode where we were able to ask him a few questions. Here is what Kenny had to say...
Kenny wears Amiel S-Strike Geo-Merged Tech Black.

SWC: What do you call BS on?
Kenny: Myself. And then the art world. And then my family. My dog would be next in line but I don’t have one anymore.
SWC: Why get out of bed in the morning?
Kenny: It took me five decades to find an answer to that question. Finally, I found a reason beyond a finely rolled marijuana cigarette. The answer is to live.
SWC: What the hell does the concept of influence mean anymore?
Kenny: It doesn’t mean anything. Just do your thing and with any luck there are others similarly interested in hearing at least some of what you have to say.
SWC: Throughout your time in the art world, can you share any experience you have encountered that would surprise, shock, or astound people if they knew about it?
Kenny: How much I still love art and the art world; and, get enthralled to the point of goosebumps when I am moved by something. Or someone.
SWC: How do you feel you distinguish between artistic innovation and ‘trends’ that lack substance?
Kenny: Good art is good art, the same applies to people. Anything else is noise.
